The workshop uses the instruments of the Samba School: Surdo (bass drum), caixa (snare), repique (high tom), tamborim (small frame drum), agogo (bell), chocalho (shaker) and cuica–in a broader musical universe. Samba is our musical and technical basis, but have also created other arrangements and adaptations to different rhythms like coco, funk, ciranda, marcha, xote, maculelê, quadrilha, samba-charme, congo e ijexá.
